our nannies

At The Nanny Lab, our approach to selecting caregivers is both thoughtful and highly intentional. Inspired by industry-leading standards, we’ve refined a process that prioritizes quality, alignment, and long-term success for the families we serve.

1.

Every nanny we represent goes through a comprehensive, multi-step screening process. We begin with an in-depth application review, followed by a series of structured interviews designed to assess not only experience, but professionalism, communication, and overall presence. We look closely at each candidate’s approach to childcare—their ability to build relationships, engage creatively, and support a child’s development in a meaningful way.

2.

From there, we conduct thorough state and federal background checks and verify multiple professional childcare references. We also review each candidate’s social media presence as part of our vetting process to ensure their online presence aligns with the level of professionalism and integrity we expect. Each caregiver must also hold current CPR and First Aid certification and demonstrate a strong understanding of safety, structure, and age-appropriate care.

3.

But beyond credentials, we focus on fit. We carefully evaluate personality, values, and caregiving style to ensure alignment with the families we work with. We seek out nannies who are not only capable, but nurturing, intuitive, and genuinely invested in the children they care for.

4.

To ensure continued excellence, we also provide structured orientations and ongoing quarterly trainings. These opportunities allow our caregivers to stay informed, supported, and continually growing in their roles—ensuring they remain confident, prepared, and aligned with the highest standards of care.

This refined process allows us to present only a highly curated selection of caregivers—so families can feel confident that every introduction has been made with care, intention, and expertise.
